The finals of the football Challenge cup and the Plate competitions were held at The Hive football complex.

In the first of the matches, the Cup competition, Ealing, Hammersmith and West London College, won reasonably comfortably beating CONEL Pace 5 – 2. The EHWL team got out of the blocks quickly and were 2 – 0 up within the first quarter of an hour. They dominated the half and missed numerous clear goal scoring opportunities before scoring again for a 3 – 0 lead. CONEL scored  to make it 3 – 1 and EHWL slotted another before the break to make it 4 – 1 at half time.

A fairly uneventful second half with EHWL controlling a lot of the possession without ever threatening to score. A tremendous goal of the game was scored by the CONEL team a long range shot, which lifted their spirits somewhat making it 4 -2.

In the second game, - the Plate final, the rain stopped, and the temperature rose a degree or so before the kick -off. The final was between Tottenham Hotspur Foundation and Haringey 6th Form college. It was a pretty one- sided affair with THF winning comfortably by an 8 – 0 scoreline.

The final scoreline reflected the play, but Haringey 6th form were unlucky not to score hitting the woodwork on numerous occasions.
